The INtimate wedding Investment Guide

Welcome!

Major congrats on your engagement! I’m so honored that you’re considering having me spend your elopement or small wedding day along side of you!

Wedding photography is a lot of things, but most of all it’s an investment in someone to capture and document your happiest day! When the wonderful day is done, the cake has been eaten, the dress hung, you are left as newlyweds with your wedding photographs. These images will be your first family portraits.

Spend some time reviewing this guide. If after reading this, you feel like we’d be a great match for each other, let’s chat to discuss your needs and vision for your celebration!

About Me

My photography style is light-filled, joyful, and authentic. I will do anything to make you laugh, and I promise to make you feel comfortable. I make it simple for you, keep it light, and focus on the adorable candid moments that naturally occur between two people who are madly in love. Years down the road, I want you to look back at your wedding photographs and have all those memories come flooding back! The joy, bliss, happiness, love, laughter, and warmth from the day you wed is what I will focus on capturing, so you have amazing photographs.

When it comes to editing, I aim for your images to be true to life but with a pop. I make sure the photographs really reflect how the day looked and felt!

As for me, most days, you can find me editing or running my business while listening to music in my home office. If I’m not there, I’m likely on my peloton, a plane, or a beach. I am a woman who always has her bags packed, a storyteller, a terrible dancer, a fruity drink fanatic, and a fan of being barefoot. I love every dog I see, eating my way through DC, and watching ice hockey and Clemson football.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between elopements, small weddings, and full wedding days?

While this may not be a textbook definition, an elopement doesn't have to be a true elopement - for me, this is typically just a very small wedding, a limited amount of guests, no reception to cover, usually no wedding party, and no travel between locations. The 3 hours are typically broken up like this: 30 minutes of final touch ups before the ceremony, 30 minutes of ceremony, 30 minutes of family photos, 20 minutes of wedding guest photos, 1 hour of newlywed portraits,10 minutes for a first dance & a speech or two. The typical elopement wedding yields about 225 to 300 images.

A small wedding is what it sounds like! Unlike an elopement, typically there is more of an actual reception. Less than 50 guests, no travel between locations, minimal time spent capturing the details and getting ready images (dress, wedding invites, flowers, rings, shoes), small wedding party (typically no more than 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen), and a much more laid-back event than a formal full wedding. The 5 hours are typically broken up like this: 30 minutes capturing some detail shots, 30 minutes to capture final touch-ups, 30 minute ceremony, 30 minutes of family photos, 30 minutes of wedding party photos, 1 hour of newlywed portraits, 1.5 hours of reception coverage. The typical small wedding yields about 375 to 500 images.

A full wedding ranges from 8-12 hours. It always involves 2 photographers in order to capture all the moments of the day and sometimes involves traveling between locations.

When are images delivered? How many images will we get? How are images delivered?

It will take on average 6 weeks to receive your images! Expect to receive ~75 images per hour of coverage - I don't limit how many images I deliver but I also do not deliver all of the images I shoot; I eliminate duplicate images, test-shots, out-of-focus shots, shots with unflattering expressions, and other images that may dilute the overall product quality.

Your images will be sent as downloadable digital files in an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to print, save, and share the images from your wedding very easily! The images can be downloaded as web-sized images or print-sized images.

The images will not have a watermark or logo on them, however, when posting on social media, I always appreciate receiving credit!

Every image you receive will be edited in my unique style. This includes color-correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone mapping, and other corrections such as removing a pimple or stray hair. Be sure to check out my galleries to get a feel for my editing style.

What’s a print release? Do your collections include prints or albums?

Your images come as digital files, so I include a print release in all wedding collections. A print release means the named clients have rights to download and print the images for personal use through their printing service of choice. A print release does not give clients rights to alter/edit the images (#nofilter) or use the images for a profit. I do not sell the copyright for my images.

Some collections include an album, and other physical products are available as add ons. You may add them on at any time. Many clients choose to order prints through the online gallery due to the ease of using the system and high quality coming from my professional print lab.

I do strongly advise my clients to order products (prints, canvases, and albums) through my professional lab. This ensures top-notch product quality that mainstream printing vendors cannot create.

Album design is a specialty of mine! Growing up, and to this day, my parent's wedding album has sat proudly and timelessly on their coffee table. I design my clients' wedding albums to tell the story of their wedding day, preserving all the special moments, in what will be an heirloom for many years to come.

How long have you been shooting weddings?

I started photographing weddings in 2014. Since then, I have captured over 130 weddings and plenty more couples for their engagements, anniversaries, and elopements!

After having a few wedding seasons with 25+ weddings, I now limit myself to 10-15 weddings a year.

Are you insured?

Yep. My business is fully insured and if needed, I can provide your wedding venue with any documentation they require.

How far in advance should we book?

On average, couples book me a year to a year and a half prior to their wedding. Currently, I have no more 2021 dates available, and I am booking for 2022 and 2023!

How do we reserve you for our wedding date?

Once we've decided that we’re the perfect photographer/couple match, you’ll send me a note saying you’d love to reserve me for your wedding date! I’ll need your first and last names, phone numbers, email addresses, and a home address to write up the contract. The contract will be sent through my online system, along with an invoice outlining the payment schedule, and from there you’ll be able to digitally sign and pay the retainer fee. Once I sign the contract and have received the payment, you’ve reserved me!

How do we pay?

Payment will be made through my online system called Honeybook. You’ll receive an invoice outlining the payment schedule, and can pay online! If you need a payment plan or to pay by check, let me know!
