Choosing from all the DC engagement session locations can be tricky. There is so much in the city that can be the perfect backdrop! You want somewhere that has diversity, because while posing and composition and lighting will help give you variety, you don’t want your engagement session location to be lacking.
Top 4 DC engagement session locations!
Georgetown/Waterfront
Georgetown is so beautiful and perfectly mixes the cute city life, wonderful brick (in multitudes of color), with the natural. The waterfront overlooks the Potomac and then there are great spots along Wisconsin and M street that have awesome greenery! This spot is lovely for any type of session but I find that morning engagement sessions here are quite romantic.
Meridian Hill Park
If you’ve never been to Meridian Hill Park, definitely mark some time off on your calendar to visit when the weather gets nice (which even though it’s February, feels like the weather will be super nice quite soon)! This park is beautiful. Again, it mixes the city with the natural and has really pretty architecture as well as fountains and neat stone. There’s lots of field space too, as well as some great trees! It gives you a lot to work with in just a small bit of park!
National Gallery of Art
This museum is PERFECT for indoor, chic photographs. The light inside is amazing. The neutral color of the walls allow the couples to pop. LOVE.
National Mall
The Mall is so classically DC. All the monuments, the perfect marble, the way the sunrises over the tidal basin… all amazing!
