When you have the opportunity to do a Georgetown engagement session with your friends from high school who you haven’t seen in at least two years who are now engaged after being together for 8 years… you have a BLAST.
Sofie and Eric and I recently met up at 6:30am (before the sun was up!) for a little waterfront park Georgetown engagement session! We originally planned it for a little while back but it was rainy – for some people, a rainy session could totally fit their vibe, but these two are so sunny and bright that we needed a day with that warm sunrise glow! This morning did NOT disappoint.
Their humor and laughter is infectious – I was quickly reminded what being around them was like… full of jokes, laughter, silliness, and the most genuine nice-ness. We started off by chatting and catching up a little and the laughs began immediately; it was seriously so great to see them again!
The light this time of day is so lovely and when you get two people who are so clearly meant to be with one another in front of your lens, it’s magic! At one point, while sitting on the stairs, I told Sofie and Eric that they were so ideal! I think it made Sofie laugh a little but LOOK AT THEM ON THOSE STAIRS AND TELL ME THEY AREN’T IDEAL!! Before we started shooting, I warned the two of them that I say weird stuff for directions and I’m hoping that after seeing the images they realize the weird directions weren’t for nothing!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this Georgetown engagement shoot! We mainly stayed along the water, but Georgetown might become my new favorite spot for sunrise sessions!
Such a happy couple! Love this!
