Raspberry Plain Manor Wedding

Let’s talk about this beautiful Raspberry Plain Manor wedding in Leesburg, Virginia! First and foremost, Tara and Chris are the sweetest couple ever. They found me on Instagram, we met for the first time to do their engagement photos, and their love story is just adorable. They both went to JMU and their first hang out was with a group of friends watching a meteor shower. You could say their love was written in the stars! Had to put that cheesiness in there, sorry not sorry.

The Ceremony

Anywhoooo, let’s fast forward to their most stunning beautiful wedding day. I didn’t spend the morning with them getting ready, so the first time I saw them was at the church in Herndon. Tara stepped out of the limo and looked amazing! Chris and his groomsmen were hidden in a back room of the church and all the guests were seated patiently. Their service was lovely and full of sentimental touches, including the children Tara babysat bringing the gifts down the aisle.

The Reception

We had 7 minutes after the ceremony to get through images in the church, and then we all scooted to Raspberry Plain. This is by far one of my favorite venues to photograph! The wedding party was so awesome and was composed primarily of family (and a few longtime friends). The groomsmen kept me entertained to say the least, and the bridesmaids were all so sweet!

The best part of the wedding to me was the speeches. I absolutely loved what their family and friends had to say about them. ALSO, I thoroughly enjoyed Tara’s mom making a rule that the classic clinking glasses wasn’t going to get them to kiss – instead if a table wanted the couple to kiss, they had to get up and sing a song with the word Love in it!

Overall, this wedding was a great way to bring my wedding season to a close and seemed like an absolutely beautiful, wonderful, spectacular beginning to a marriage!

As I finish typing out my last wedding blog post of 2016, I’m a little sad. This year has been amazing in regards to my business growing, and I’m so thankful to each and every person who I’ve photographed!
