Ahh!!! Smoke bombs!
A while back I advertised on Instagram and Facebook that I was doing a model call. There were a few motivations behind this model call and I wasn’t sure what to expect from it. Once I closed the model call, I was totally overwhelmed with the response. So many amazing couples applied and gave me awesome reasons as to why they should be selected.
Anyways, this beautiful couple applied. And you wanna know what happened at first? I didn’t originally select them (because I’m the worst). Some things happened and I ended up going back to Taryn and asking if she and Daniel would still be interested in being models for me! Luckily for me, they said yes.
We decided to meet up at Scott’s Run Nature Preserve, which was so beautiful and provided an awesome setting for the shoot! It was so great to see Taryn again and it was awesome to meet Daniel for the first time, too. They were the perfect couple for me to choose for this particular model call. My idea for this one was to include smoke bombs. I think Daniel even enjoyed it because pyrotechnics.
Fun story about smoke bombs: I ordered them on Amazon and I always use my dad’s prime account. So he got an email saying that somebody had ordered smoke bombs on his account. He sent me the email confirmation that they had been ordered and was just like WTF smoke bombs? And I explained to him that they were for artsy photography usage and I wasn’t actually blowing anything up with a colorful smoke bomb.
So anyways this was a lot of fun to do with Taryn and Daniel. I’m so thankful that they trusted me to set off smoke bombs in the middle of a forest. I think we got some pretty cool results… check them out for yourself! Keep an eye out for the particular smoke cloud that decided to almost take Taryn from all of us.
