HOKAY, so, if these two aren’t the cutest thing in the world then I don’t know what is.

Backstory: Kristen started following me on Instagram one day and then she realized I was the photographer for her friends wedding (two of my favorite people 😉).

At her friends wedding, I was observing the dance floor and trying to figure out where to set up my flash stand and I heard, “Kristen talk to her!” with the “her” being me. Shortly after, I was approached by Kristen and her mom. Kristen told me about how she followed me online and didn’t know I was Kristin & Johnny’s photographer until she saw their engagement photos! I was SO flattered, first of all, and I was also like ~wow the internet makes the world weird and small AND GREAT.

We chatted for a hot minute. Her mom made a comment about how maybe soon I could be Kristen’s wedding photographer and Kristen was like “who knows when I’ll get engaged.” I thought it was funny and cute. Anyways, I went to follow Kristen on instagram the next day and I saw images that looked like they were from the night of the wedding (she was wearing the same dress) and they were of her fiancé George proposing!!!!

The Engagement

I was slightly confused but it turns out that when Kristen and her mom left for the wedding, George started setting up to propose! When she got home that night, George had set up candles and lights and rose petals and flowers and all that romantic stuff! So adorable. And her mom was in on it the entire time!

During their engagement session, I learned that this was the THIRD time he had tried to propose. They do say third times a charm! If my memory serves me correctly, the first time he planned to do it, the ring hadn’t gotten in on time. The second time, he wanted to take her to a field to watch stars (they’ve got a thing with stars), but she was afraid of the field late at night and refused to go (ha!), and so finally, the third time it happened!

For their engagement session, they really wanted to incorporate Primanti Bros – a sandwich shop they frequented in Pittsburgh, where they met. Turns out, the only one remotely close to us is in Hagerstown. So we all met up at the Primanti Bros and took our sandwiches to Hagerstown City Park for some engagement photos. The park was beautiful and despite the rain most of the day, it cleared up for the photos!

Check out their Hagerstown City Park engagement pics!
