On occasion I do giveaway contests on social media! Normally, it’s to celebrate an accomplishment of mine or because of a holiday or I’m just feeling generous. I’ve stopped doing them so much because my schedule is pretty tough! However, I did one a little bit ago, which I hosted through Instagram, and there were so many great people who submitted to win. Using a random generator on the internet, I selected the winner!
Funnily enough, the gentleman who won is a good friend and coworker of mine! He’s a photographer himself, primarily photographing fancy cars. We always chat about new gear and lighting and nerdy camera equipment things. We also regularly joke about me photographing him posing like a bikini girl on top of some fancy car and I think it’s going to happen one day (#goals).
Any who, for their WIN, I met up with him (and his awesome girlfriend Julia who I quite adore) at his apartment in Arlington. They knew of this great little quaint spot just around the corner from his apartment, so we walked over. They mainly just wanted a few good shots of them – nothing too romantic and nothing that screamed “We’re engaged!” because they aren’t; we kept things pretty simple!
After the session, we went to Cheesetique and I also took photos of his pet fish, who is not named Nemo.
