Bethany Beach Family Session

Some sessions find their way onto your heart and stay there, and this Bethany Beach family session is at the very top of the list.

I first met this sweet family years ago – and I had the honor of photographing Courtney & Brian’s engagement photos and wedding in 2019. There is something so special about watching a couple step into a new chapter of life together and even more special when you get to see what that chapter looks like a few years later. When they reached out to book a Bethany Beach family session, I genuinely could not wait.

Golden hour on the dunes of Bethany Beach

We met on the dunes as the golden hour light was doing exactly what it does best, painting everything in the most gorgeous warm glow. Her parents and brother were there, and it felt like a little reunion. I loved seeing familiar faces again, and getting to meet the two new tiny ones made it even sweeter.

Those two new faces? Pure magic.

The older sister is such a ham… the best kind. She had everyone laughing within minutes and was so genuinely sweet with her baby sister. Watching her dote on that tiny girl, squeezing her close and smothering her in kisses, was one of those moments you feel more than you photograph. Big sister energy at its absolute finest.

As the evening settled in, the dunes gave way to the most beautiful soft sunset, that cotton candy sky that Bethany Beach does so perfectly in the summer. The light was dreamy, the family was relaxed, and the whole session just flowed.

This is exactly why I do what I do. Families that started as strangers, became clients, and now feel like friends. Babies who weren’t even a thought when I photographed their parents’ first dance. The full beautiful circle of it all.
