Meet me at the beach

Fenwick island family photographer

If you’re heading to Fenwick Island and want photos from your trip, here’s what I want you to know upfront: it doesn’t have to be a whole thing. No stiff lineups, no “everyone look here,” no stressing about whether your kid is going to cooperate. It can just… feel like your vacation.

I’m Nikki, and I specialize in relaxed beach sessions for families, couples, and groups who want images that actually look like them.

Why Fenwick Island

Honestly? It’s my home and one of my favorite spots to shoot on the coast. I say it’s a little underrated.

The beaches are wide and clean without being chaotic. The light at sunset is soft and even. And the overall vibe is calmer than, say, Ocean City – which makes a real difference in how a session feels and how your photos turn out. Quieter location, less distraction, better light. It adds up.

What to Expect

Sessions are typically 45 minutes (but this does depend on how many people are in your group). Sessions move at a pretty natural pace. We’ll ease in with some simple prompts, shift into more movement and interaction (walking, playing, whatever fits your family), and land in those relaxed, golden-light moments toward the end.

You don’t need to know how to pose. Your kids don’t need to be on their best behavior. I’ll guide you through the whole thing. Most people tell me afterward that it felt way more fun than they expected.

What to Wear

The beach is forgiving, but a few things always photograph well: neutral tones, soft textures, flowing fabrics. Think creams, tans, muted blues and greens. Linen. Movement. Coordinated without being matchy.

Once you book, I’ll send over outfit guidance to help you pull everything together. Nothing overwhelming, just a starting point so everyone looks cohesive.

Who This is For

  • Parents who want real, candid moments over posed portraits
