Bethany has a different pace than most beach towns, and that’s exactly why I love shooting here. It’s quieter, less chaotic, and the energy just lends itself to photos that actually feel relaxed, not performative.

I’m Nikki, and I do beach sessions for families, couples, and groups who want something that looks and feels like a real moment, not a photo obligation.

Why Bethany Works So Well

It’s genuinely one of the better spots on the Delaware coast for this kind of work. The beaches are clean and open, the crowds are manageable, and the light at sunset is beautiful without a lot of competing noise around it. Less distraction means you’re more present, and that shows up in your photos.

How It All Works

Sessions run about 45 minutes (+/- on how many people are in your group) and have a natural rhythm to them. We ease in, move around, interact…I’m guiding you the whole time so you’re never standing there wondering what to do with your hands. By the time we hit the best light, everyone’s usually warmed up and it feels totally easy.

If you’re traveling in from out of town, I’ll help you figure out timing, parking, beach access – all of it. One less thing to coordinate.

What to Wear

Soft neutrals always photograph well at the beach. Creams, tans, muted blues, light greens in breathable fabrics that have a little movement. Nothing too loud or matchy. After booking I’ll send over some guidance to help you pull everyone’s looks together without making it a whole project. Here’s the full what to wear guide!

When to Book

Summer evenings go fast, especially around holidays and peak weeks. Booking 4+ weeks out gives you the best shot at a good time slot with great light. Check my availability for your preferred date here.
