Swan Cove Wedding, Cambridge, MD
Ya’ll, I have a hard time blogging weddings because I have some of the absolute best clients and I think the world of them and I never know how to write exactly how incredible their wedding days are.
But, I do want to get better at sharing my clients stories, so here we are. Let’s go!
On a gorgeous day back in April, Cassie and Mike tied the knot in a waterfront ceremony at Swan Cove Manor in Cambridge, MD. First of all, the venue is awesome and Cassie and Mike chose it because it was a little bit destination, had homes on the property for all of their family members to stay, and it is beautiful! Following the ceremony, they had a tented reception with some amazing twinkly lights and barnwood tables!
Cassie and Mike are two of the kindest people you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. They’re funny and fun, they’re sentimental and sweet, they go on epic adventures around the world, and they are food connoisseurs. They have a fun little situation where Cassie’s family is from Philly and Mike’s family is from Baltimore, and to Mike’s enjoyment, Cassie has become the biggest Ravens & O’s fan out there!
They both have awesome families. Their wedding reflected that as much as it could – with Cassie’s sister as her maid of honor and Mike’s sisters as bridesmaids. Cassie’s 3 brothers were groomsmen and also performed music during the ceremony (talk about talent!). Cassie’s and her grandmother have the cutest relationship (Cassie is the oldest of Nana’s 23 grandchildren, who were all in attendance)!
Cassie and Mike chose to do a first look – it was the sweetest first look in the world! My second shooter (Rachel) and I were both a little weepy after capturing it! Their ceremony was a Catholic ceremony, which was super neat because it was outside/waterfront. It was filled with beautiful moments and their first kiss, after which all their guests could just feel their excitement!
A few moments from their reception that I absolutely loved:
They had an awesome entrance. Mike is a bit of a quiet guy (at least around me, someone he’d really only met once before), but my goodness did he become the life of the party upon entrance! Guy knows how to dance!
Speaking of dancing, their first dance to Green Eyes by Coldplay was just lovely. They were so happy and so in the moment.
Sparklers!! Rather than ending the ceremony early for a sparkler exit, we took a quick pause to do sparkler photos with the wedding party and it was a ton of fun!
